There are many countries in the world where most of the people live in poverty. They live in shacks in slums. Children go to bed hungry. You and I would be shocked to see their living conditions. We would be shocked to see rain pouring through the roof and cold wind coming through cracks in the wall. People living in these conditions would be happy with scraps from our table. We spend money on fast food and the latest designer clothes. In the Bible it tells of the rich young ruler who asked Jesus how he could enter Heaven. Jesus told him to sell his worldly goods and give it to the poor. The rich young ruler went away sad because he could not give up his wealth. Could you give up your wealth? Most of us have worked hard to earn our living. We have a home and clothes. We have enough food. We give a little to Charity and are general happy with our lives. I think that is because we don't usually see the other side. If you don't see how others are in need you think everythings great. You beleive everyone is as well off as your family. Look around you. There is someone who needs a helping hand. Reach out and help. God will see what you are doing to help your fellow man.
