At the present time The United States of America is at war on two fronts. War is a terrible drain on all Americans. We fear the worst for our troops on foreign soil. Television shows fighting and killing day after day. We hear about young men giving their lives for our country. They face both physical and mental problems. During time of war there is a phrase known as "R&R"
or Rest and Relaxation. Men on the front lines are sent to rest areas for relaxation. There is another type of "R&R" in the Medical Profession. Suppose two people were pulled from the ocean by the lifeguards. Both are in need of medical attention. Paramedics are called to check the men. One needs Revival and the other needs Resucitation. What is the difference. A person who needs Revival is unconscious but is alive. A person who needs resucitation is dead. He is not breathing. They begin work immediately to attempt to get breathing started and find a heartbeat. There is also "R&R" related to our spiritual life. When a man is seperated from God he is dead. When he becomes a Christian he is alive. When a man becomes a Christian he may slip back into old habits. He may begin to love sin more than he loves God. That is when a Revival is necessary. Do you need revival or resucitation? Look at your life and make a decision.
