During the past several weeks I have been experiencing
vision problems. My wife finally
insisted I visit the eye doctor. After
an examination the Doctor said there was nothing wrong with my eyes. I visited my family doctor. He said I needed to get an MRI at the
hospital. That was followed up by a CT scan. The results were shocking. I have a tumor on
the part of my brain that controls vision.
I also have several other tumors in my brain. I have a cancerous mass on my lung and
another tumor in my back. I also have several
tumors in my lymph nodes. I am scheduled
to go to the Cancer Center on October 3rd for an evaluation. At that time they will decide whether to get
treatment – or not. I have been through several
stages this week. My first was
denial. I just knew they were
wrong. I couldn’t have cancer. Not Me.
Then there was anger. Why
God? Why did you let this happen to me? Then there was self pity. I cried.
I cried some more and some more.
Finally there was acceptance. I
accepted the fact that I have cancer and I have turned it all over to God. God has walked with me over my 70 years. I didn’t realize He was there for the first
10 years, but He was by my side. He is
by my side now. Please pray for my
recovery and pray for my wife. She is devastated. We have no children. We have outlived the other members of our
family. If God calls me home she will
not be alone. God will be by her side. Thank you for your prayers.

John I'm sorry to hear about the cancer. I'm glad to know that you are a servant of the most high God so no matter what the outcome of this will be you will have the Lord. I will most certainly pray for your wife and you also John. I feel a kindred spirit with you and have every since I started to read your articles. I pray that God's Will will be done in your life. I'm here because of Gorges too. I remember the day that I found out I had breast cancer. It was so shocking. I went through everything you said you went through. It was a scary thing to have happen. I'm 44, married and have 2 kids. The Lord really took care of me during my time of great need. He even got me to the right surgeon who has taken great care of me. I can see the annointing on my doctor! I had surgery in March of this year and I'm cancer free. I've heard great things about the Cancer Centers of America. My daughter's friend's mother had breast cancer that was so bad that the doctors here said they couldn't do anything. She went there and had chemo and radiation and she is cancer free. It seems that cancer is everywhere now and just about everyone either knows someone with it or they have it or have had it themselves. My cousin's 17 year old son had 2 tumors on his brain and 1 on his spine. He went through a lot of treatments and surgery and he too is cancer free! Praise God for his healing touch! I will pray that the Lord touches you and heals you too!

Have had similar experiences with family and neighbors recently. It is always a shocker when you find something like this out.

I have a friend who is 16 years your senior who has overcome cancer and open heart surgery and now going through cancer once again...What I have learned from this Christian man is to never give up...God holds our futures in the palm of his hand. I will pray for you and your dear wife.

Jel-So far I have had 5 radiation treatments on my brain, chest and back. That is the tumors. The cancer that is in my lung has not been treated yet. I had a Bioposy of the cancer and they will determine the type of chemo to use when the results are available. I think it will be Tuesday the 16th.
God has it all under control. I don't really feel bad. I am in His hands. That you for your prayers. God bless you.

I am so sorry to hear that you are ill, my brother in the Lord. You are a great child of God, and Jesus will never leave you alone. You see, I'll tell you a story...
Over 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with a tumor in my right ovary. I was on denial, I did not believe that these things could happen to me. So, I let it go without treatment, and pray for God's healings. One day, in October of 2008, I was led to the Emergency Surgery Room for a general surgery to remove the giant tumor in my lower abdomen. Medical Doctors removed everything in there, including my Messenterium. Doctors said to me that I was going to die, because the giant massive tumor would eventually explote inside of me. I was really dying, my dear friend. I had Ovarian Cancer. Doctors said that it was a miracle that the tumor did not spread to other parts of my body, because I did not want any treatment for it when it was first diagnosed to me in the year 2000 or so. I did not pay any attention to serious warnings that they had said to me. I did not believe in the doctors. I thought they were a bunch of liars. I trusted God with all my heart that if He put me throught it, He would let me out of that situation in a safe way. God wants us to serve Him in this world. So, we are messengers for the Lord, and He won't let us go just like that. Please, listen to your doctors, and do whatever they say it is good for you. Don't ignore your health situation the way I did, because I was wrong...
I am praying for you and for your dear wife. I pray for your complete healings and prompt recovery, John. I did not know that you had health issues. This is shocking news for me, my dear friend. I am a member of an International Ministry from England, and I shall ask brothers and sisters in the Lord to pray for your complete healings. All they ask for is that they would like to know the outcome of their prayers. In other words, they will ask me if you are doing better after all the prayers to the Lord said for you. Jesus listens to our prayers when we pray with a faithful heart, my friend.
