WAVERING FAITH

How strong is your faith? When things are going great it is not difficult to have a great faith. You just know things are going to be great. Everything you touch turns to gold. You can do no wrong. like Peter you can walk on water. You step out of the boat and walk on water just like Peter. Your eyes are glued on Jesus. You can do the impossible. You can climb any wall. You can clear any hurdle. Then just as quickly as we began we stop focusing on Jesus. A little doubt creeps into our daily walk. We notice a little fear. Things begin to go wrong. We have trouble with the car. The roof leaks. The TV stops working. Little things happen and we are not prepared. We learn we must focus on Jesus. We begin to sink beneath the waves. Now we cry out "Lord Save Me" and He reaches out His hand. He is always there. He is faithful. He loves Us. He is our Saviour. When we call on God we have nothing to fear or doubt. When you face things that may harm you, call on Jesus.

Hi John,

You're right. There is a different attitude when things are going well versus things going badly, but we must not forget who pours out the blessings of our life.

Blessings to you brother.

I've heard preachers say that when things go well, we take the credit ourselves, but when things go south, we wonder why God lets bad things happen. Good post; we are weak creatures, indeed!

Great analogy to everyday life.

BTW, my Blest Atheist blog is down. I replaced it with 100th Lamb (www.emahlou.blogspot.com) and am moving the posts there.
