JESUS THE MAN

God sent his Son to earth to die for our sins. We know He came to earth as a human baby born to Mary and Joseph. His mission led Him down many paths. We read in the Bible where He visited the Synagogue. He found men selling items in the Synagogue. He flipped the tables and ran the men from the Synagogue. This was an insult to Jesus. There are many ways we upset Jesus today in our worship. We go to Church Sunday morning. Usually we attend Bible Training first. When we arrive at Bible Training we greet our friends. We have a cup of coffee. We talk. We fellowship with each other. Then comes the Lesson. The Teacher asks us to open the Bible and our Sunday School Book. We have to be told to turn to the correct page because we have not looked at the lesson. While the Teacher talks we think about other things. Ladies think about the food that is prepared at home or where are we going to eat out for lunch. Men think about the Football Game on TV or the Golf outing that is planned for the afternoon. Finally it is over and we head to Sunday Worship Service. We greet people who sit nearby. We shake hands. We talk. Then there is the first song. We think that the Song announced is boring. We have sung that Song a thousand times. Why don't they sing something new? Someone says for us to stand. Why can't we sit and sing? We are going to sing all four verses. Why not just sing the first verse and the last verse? Now it's time for the sermon. We yawn. We look at our watch. It goes on and on and on. Finally it is almost 12. Finally we can leave. How do you think God feels? Would God be happy with you?

(Proverbs 13:24, 20:30, 23:13-14) God says to parents that if their children get out of line, we should beat them with a rod. If they talk back to you, "KILL THEM".

(Leviticus 20:, Deuteronomy 21:18-21, Mark 7:9-13 and Mathew 15:47) We must also stone people to DEATH for heresy, adultery, homosexuality, working on the Sabbath, worshipping graven images, practicing sorcery, and a wide variety of other imaginary crimes. I could go on and on.

Yeah, you're right. Temptations are everywhere, even in His own Temple. That is a sad reality.

Thanks for your inspiring posts.
