FORGIVENESS

Someone has hurt you in your lifetime. Perhaps it was in school. It may have been a bully. Someone beat you and took your lunch money. This happens all too often. Perhaps it was later on in life. A co-worker said some things about you to others and it hurt you very much. It may have caused you to not get a promotion. A member of your family could have talked about you behind your back. It may have caused other members of your family to have hard feelings toward you. Have you forgiven all these people? Are you sure? The Bible says that you must forgive all other sins against you before your sins can be forgiven. Matthew Chapter 6 verses 12 through 14 says " For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." That means you have to let it go. You must not dwell on past hurts. Should you see a person who has wronged you, smile and show them that you love them. Do not repay wrong for wrong. God wants to forgive all your sins but you must first forgive sins of others.
