You have been working in the yard. It is June in South Carolina. The temperature has been in the 80's. The sun has no mercy. You are hot. The lawn mower is quiet. It is time for a break. You have to find some shade and a chair. You feel a little light headed. You need a cold cola. You open the fridge and take out a cola. You pop the top and take a sip. It's hot! You spit it out. Someone must have just put it in the refrigerater. You reach for the water. You take a sip. It's hot! You spit it out. You wanted something cold. You need something cold. You need to get cool. You take out some ice and add water in a glass. Finally a refreshing drink. In the Bible Jesus was talking to the Christains at Laodicea. He told them they were lukewarm. He told them He was going to spit them out. As a Christian, are you lukewarm? Are you attending church part time? Are you helping others in their Christian life? How is your christian walk? Do you need to step up and take care of business? You can not stay lukewarm. We need to get on fire for Jesus.
