BLESSINGS
One day last week my wife asked (told) me to go to the grocery
Store. She started telling me the things she needed. I knew
there were too many things for me to remember so I found a
paper and pencil. A dozen eggs, milk, pepper, napkins, celery,
a bag of carrots and a loaf of bread. No problem. I made it to
the grocery store, found a cart and started shopping. I have
been there several times so I knew exactly where things were
located. I gathered all the items, paid and carried them home.
She looked at my list, checked everything off, smiled and said
I did a good job. She did everything but pat me on the head.
Later on that night I got ready for bed. I stretched out with a
sigh and reached for my Bible. I opened it at random as I
usually do before I fall asleep. I looked and started reading
Psalms 103. The first 5 verses reminded me of my grocery
list. It was a lists of God’s blessings. Verse 3 says He forgives
all our sins and heals our diseases. Verse 4 says He redeems
our life from the pit and crowns us with love and compassion.
Verse 5 says He satisfies your desires with good things so
that your youth is renewed like the Eagle’s. These 5 blessings
are wonderful. We should count our blessings every day and
thank God for each one. Do you count your blessings?

Hi JT, I like the way that you connected Psalm 103 to your outing. Those first five verses are great! In answer to your question... Yes, I do thank the Lord for all blessings. Grace to you. Kerrie
Yes I do my friend, and for my salvation above all!
I sure do! God bless you! And thank you for sharing this post of yours with me!
Thankful and counting them every day!
:) Loved this. The title of my blog is "Determined to be-->Satisfied With Good Things" So the one verse about God satisfying our desires with good tings caught my eye.
It doesn't say what our specific desires are. What we picture as fulfillment of our desires may not be exactly what Gpd gives us. :) He gives us GOOD things.
I think that one of our problems is that we often want our desires to be met by "not so good" things.
I'm finding that peace and satisfaction come when I open myself up to the fact that what God calls "good" is, indeed, good.

Yes, I count my blessings. When I don't I get grumpy and picky. I like that- just a random verse before bed. Psalm 91 is good to read too before sleeping. God bless!
Hi JT,
Thank you for your comment on my blog yesterday.
I hate grocery shopping by the way. But I am thankful for all the blessings from God, including the means in which to buy groceries in the first place!

Hi JT,
Jesus put it on my heart also, that I need to be more mindful of all He has done, and does, and will do, for me... none of it is deserved or earned, it is all out of His mercy and for His glory so all will understand and acknowledge how good He truly is.
Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog :) and Happy New Year to you <3
