HYPOCRITE

We’ve all seen it before and we will see it again. A famous
person is on TV giving their opinion on every issue. He is a
very important person. People listen to him. He was elected
to Congress or to the Senate. He’s a big shot. He has a driver
to drive him around Washington. He’s a guest on all the talk
shows. He has been on The Tonight Show. He appears on
Letterman’s show. Then the surprise of the year. He didn’t
pay his taxes. Maybe he has a mistress. He sent some emails
that were inappropriate. Something happened to him and it’s
all over. He is thrown out of congress or the senate. His wife
left him and he disappeared from all the talk shows. People
laugh at him. You join in the conversation. You tell everyone
about all the things you read in the newspaper or things you
have seen on TV which tell of this VIP”s problems. You join
others who laugh about his problems.
You are guilty of the sin of Judging him. You are guilty of the
sin of enjoying his downfall. Matthew 7:4 - How can you
say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye,
when all the time you have a plank in your eye? Think about
it.

I won't say that I've never done it, but mostly, I just wonder what's next.

Good point JT. It is so sad to see what fame will do to a person.

Will be chewing on this for a while.

Blessings,
<><

JT excellent point...there is but ONE TRUE JUST JUDGE and "We ain't it"....wink wink....Oh ye who is without sin cast the first stone...don't know about you but surely I have cast my stones on the ground at the feet of the Just Judge....thank you for posting this ...what a wonderful reminder to me to keep it pure and holy watch my mouth, and cast my thoughts upon the altar of repentance.....for there I shall find His Love for all mankind....in the Senate or Not!

Hi JT,

This is a great post. In a sense by judging we become hypocrites ourselves. The Lord has been showing me lately how I tend to tell my husband one thing, and then don't follow the same rules. So glad we have a Savior.
