INHERITANCE

He was a young man just starting out in life. He had not had it
easy. He grew up in an orphanage. He finished high school
as an average student. Then it was time to get a job. He was
able to get a job as a loader on a dock at a big warehouse. It
was hard work. The pay was not very good but it was a job.
He worked there 3 years and was promoted to Assistant to the
Foreman. It wasn’t a big promotion but it did mean a little more
money. He was a loner and a hard worker. It was time for the
Foreman to retire. He hoped to get the job as a new Foreman.
That didn’t happen. Someone from the front office was made
Foreman. He kept working, hoping for the best. Then he got a
telephone call. His father tracked him down. His mother left
him in an orphanage and his father did not know he existed.
When his mother died there was a letter in a safety deposit
box telling the story. It turns out his father was wealthy. Time
passed and he inherited a fortune. He was set for life. He did
not have to work again. From that moment on he had all that
he could imagine. It was a happy ending.
As a Christian you are entitled to the resources of your Heavenly Father. You may be unaware of all you have in your relationship with Christ. You can talk with Him today through your prayers. He will forgive you for your sins. He will give you the power to forgive others who have wronged you. He can heal you of any disease. He can pour out a shower of blessings on you. Best of all you will be with him in Heaven through out eternity. I ask you to become aware of your inheritance today. Get into your Bible and find out about your Heavenly Father.

I don't think that we realize, when we're young, just how blessed we are.

Perfect illustration with a great verse. I don't think we can even imagine what we're going to inherit it's going to be beyond belief. I'm looking forward to it and most of all just being with God. The Bible is awesome!

Dear JT,

Just dropping in to say hello and that I'm so pleased you stopped by and joined by blog.

This is a great post!!!

I can relate to the young man in this story as I too grew up in an orphanage myself. I didn't know back then just how blessed I really was.

God is with me always and I believe He will always make a way.

Through every trial and life circumstance, He holds me and lifts me up with His righteous right hand, always helping me, guiding me, protecting me, loving me and forgiving me. Wow, God is GREAT!

I often think of the day we will meet. (BIG smile!). I look forward to giving Him the biggest hug ever!

Thank you again JT for this very encouraging post. I hope you have and enjoyable week.

Keep growing and glowing for God.

GOD BLESS!

Morning JT I am a new follower of yours. You know as I grew into spiritual maturity, applying my heart to know, I realized when the scriptures states that HE will give us the desires of our heart, I thought wooohoooo....but then one day the LORD enlightened the eyes of my understanding and I realized, HE would give me my hearts "desires" ...my < the old man within >desires cease but HIS < The New Man - Christ > desires became mine...I no longer set my affections on things below but reached towards the heavens above....what liberty that ONE truth brought to ME! Enjoyed reading your blog this morning...good stuff!
