A SWEET TASTE
They were in the mall. Mother and son were shopping for clothes. They shopped in two different stores without finding exactly what she wanted. There was another store she wanted to check so they started down to the other end of the mall. There was the ice cream store. Her little boy wanted ice cream. He begged. He pleaded. Finally she agreed. She bought a cone and they sat at a table. It was beautiful. A spiral about 3 inches high. It was perfect. He opened his mouth wide and took off an inch at the top with one bite. In just a moment it was gone and he took another big bite. One more bite took him down to the cone. He realized it was almost gone. He began to slow down. No more bites. Slow licks became his goal. He wanted it to last a long time. Two or three minutes passed and Mom said for him to get on with it. He was taking too much time. It tasted so good. He was really enjoying the ice cream.
Psalms 34:8 talks about our Spiritual Taste. It says - Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. God wants us to really know Him. He wants us to have intimate knowledge of Him. He wants us to know that He loves us. He cares for us. He created you and me. He sent His Son to be with us on earth. Jesus died for our sins. Can anyone love as much as He loves us?

No - no one can love us as much as Jesus.
Oftentimes, when I am so enjoying my morning devotional time with the Lord, I just want it to last for a long time. It tastes so good that I want to hang out with Him ALL day.
Unfortunately, work beckons :)

Great post. I do enjoy God's word. My granddaughter ask me this week why I am always studying the Bible. I told her when you love someone you want to spend time with them and that I love the Lord. Have a great week. Doylene
