A GOOD FOUNDATION

The Empire State Building is located in New York City at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street. It is a 102 Story Skyscraper. It rises to 1,250 Feet at the 102nd floor, and including the 203 Feet pinnacle, it's full height is 1,453 Feet. The Empire State Building was the first building to have more than 100 floors. It has 6500 Windows and 73 Elevators. There are 1,860 steps from street level to the 102nd floor. It has a total floor area of 2,768,591 square feet. The base of the Empire State Building is about 2 acres. It has it's own Zip Code 10118. A building such as this must have a firm foundation. On January 22, 1930 they began digging 55 feet down to the pure granite bedrock beneath the site. The bedrock underneath Manhattan was ideal for tall heavy buildings. The grainte was considered natures sturdiest structal support. They excavated much of the site with explosives. They also used steam shovels, drills and jackhammers to excavate. This was a great undertaking. It took a lot of work and it was expensive. The people knew they had to have a good foundation to make sure they were successful in their endeavors.
This should remind us of the Parable of The Sower as found in Mark 4:3-8. A farmer went our to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places where it did have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns which grew up and choked the plants so they did not bear fruit grains. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times. Our Christianity must be planted on a firm foundation. The Bible is our guide book. If your Christianity is not planted on a firm foundation you may be in danger of failure. Read your Bible and study it's truth.

I love all your posts that I have read. Such thought provoking reading. I'm thinking about how secure is my foundation. It's only as secure as I'm rooted and grounded in love hidden within Christ Jesus! Stay Blessed!
