ONLY WHEN I AM ALONE

Our pastor had a wonderful sermon this past Sunday. He talked about masks we wear. What is a Christian? Did you know there are " Pretend " Christians? We all know how to live a Christian life. We have been taught how to " be good " since we were children. Is that all there is to being your kind of Christian? You know how to act like a Christian. There is a lot more to living a Christian life. Our pastor told a story about a lady on an elevator. No one else was with her. The elevator stopped and the door opened. A man got on the elevator and the door closed. That man looked like Robert Redford. She ask him if he was the real Robert Redford. He smiled and said "Only When I'm Alone ". That is a very telling story. Rev T.C. was right. Are you a real Christian? Ask yourself how you act when you are at Church. How do you act when you are not at church? How do you act when you are alone? If you are a real Christian you are a Christian all the time. Think about it. Do you wear a mask?

There was a period of time when I wasn't attending church, but I was still wearing the mask of being a "good" Christian. And I was hiding sin.

But I am so grateful to God for bringing me back to a life of restored joy - a life in fellowship with Him - a life following Him earnestly. I don't wear the mask anymore. I'd rather have the "real" me show - even with forgiven sins - and be a testimony to the Love and Mercy of a Gracious God. A God who never let me go, and gave me the courage to remove the mask...

GOD BLESS!

It seems there are many people that wear the mask. I believe one can be very happy and at peace, when they decide which side of the fence they want to be on. Good article. Also I like the name of your blog...John 3:16
