RESURRECTION POWER

In June of 1955 at 25 years of age, Paul Anderson won the USA National Amateur weightlifting Championship. At one time he was considered to be the strongest man in the world. He became famous and traveled world wide lifting weights that no man could lift. Michael Jordon became famous in the sport of Basketball. Some say he could fly through the air as he lunged for the basket. Babe Ruth was a natural home run hitter in Baseball. There are stories that are hard to believe about his achievements. Steve Prefontaine was a great runner. He was considered the fastest man alive. These are famous people who have proved their strength. Did you know that as a Christian you have even more power than any of these men? Read Ephesians Chapter 1 verses 18 through 21. The Bible says that as a believer you have incomparably great power. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given. That is Resurrection Power. That is the power that it took to raise Jesus from the dead. As a believer you have The Resurrection Power. You and I must use this power. All the famous people mentioned above used their power to better their lives. We have things to do. We must bring others to Jesus. We must let others know about our wonderful Saviour. Are you going to use your Resurrection Power?

It's kind of like the song Our God by Chris Tomlin.

JT - I can remember all these athletes (except for Babe Ruth!!) They proved their strength - they each achieved a great deal in their sport. And yet, you are so right - we have so much MORE power! I pray that God will give me more opportunities to do His work, to speak His words, and to let His power change me!

GOD BLESS!
