STANDING IN LINE

Do you enjoy waiting? Everyone has to wait. What about the Grocery Store? You finally fill your cart and head for the cash register. There is a line. One, two, three, four, five carts in front of you. Wait. Beep, Beep, Beep goes the cash register as they ring items from the cart. Wait. You pick up a magazine. A ghost was spotted in England. What a silly story. He was probably standing in line at the Grocery Store. Maybe you are going out to eat with your family. You get to the Restaurant and there is the line. They say it's going to be a 30 minute wait. You stare at the wall. No ghost stories to read. You just have to wait. Wait, wait, wait. What about prayer? When we pray we expect an instant answer. Somehow we know God is waiting to hear from us. We believe it is important to God that we get the car fixed. We believe God is anxious to help us make a hole in one on the Golf Course. There are more serious prayers. A family member is sick. You are worried. Surely God will be there for you. He is. He is always there. When you pray He answers. He answers in His time. When you need God don't hesitate to call on Him. He is waiting to hear from you.

These days we have so much instant access that waiting for anything seems like a waste of precious time. But one thing that never changes is that to wait on God and His answers and His grace is the only way to true happiness and success in our walk.

I totally agreed with you. It took God to answer one of my prayers 2 years, mean while my husband almost divorced me, but I knew that God was there. After God had answer my prayers everything is being 100% better than before.
The key is "be Patient" and wait for the Lord.

Thanks for your post
Patty.

PS. Thanks for your prayers.
My family is going through hard times trying to deal with this tragedy.
Please pray for their salvation.

Like many people, waiting has never been my strong suit.

Yet, when I look back on the times when God has had me wait on Him, there are times when I can see in retrospect how He worked in me during the waiting.
