FALL FROM GRACE

The Statue of Liberty celebrated it's 100th birthday October 28, 1986. From the ground to the tip of the torch it is 305 feet 1 inch. Can you imagine looking down from 305 feet 1 inch. Some people have a fear of height. I am one of those people. When I am at a great height and look down I can imagine myself flying in the air. I stand back from the edge and hold something because of this fear. The Empire State Building is 1,453 feet 8 and 9/16 inches tall to the top of the lightning rod. That is very tall. Can you imagine looking down from that height. I would not want to have that experience. That would be a long fall. When you think about falling you can also think about the Bible. The Book of Jude has only one Chapter. There are 25 verses. Verse 24 says: To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy. We are all sinners. God keeps us in the mercy of His grace and does not all us to fall into ungodliness. When you pray, thank God for holding you close so you will not fall.

Hi John,

Excellent analogies of falling from great heights and how God keeps us from falling (from His grace).
