REMEMBER ME

He parked the car, opened the door and walked across the Cemetery to the grave. He walked quietly and with reverence. His head was bowed. He had a troubled heart and you could tell it by his appearance. He had not been here for a while. It was probably a year ago. How could that be? He loved his parents. They had done everything for him. He had a good home. He had a good education. He had a good job. He had a family. He had a beautiful wife and three wonderful children. In general he had a great life. He owed it all to his Mom and Dad. They both made sacrifices for him. They made his life possible. Why had he not visited their graves? He had been busy lately. His work was demanding. His family needed his attention. He was a typical busy man. He knelt by the grave site and he wept quietly. He said a prayer and placed the flowers on the graves. One for Mom and one for Dad. Then he walked back to the car vowing to return again soon. Do you remember those who loved you?

Jesus was on the cross. He had suffered greatly. It was time for Jesus to die for our sins. A thief hung on a cross nearby. Luke 23:42-43 says – Jesus remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Jesus remembered the thief on the cross. Jesus always remembers. Jesus remembers us wherever we are. He knows our every ache and pain. He knows when we need Him. Be like Jesus. Remember those you love.
